LAND OF BIO AND CULTURAL DIVERSITY
Nepal not only has some of the tallest mountains in the world, but it is also comprised of many different ethnic groups 97% of which are Hindu and Buddhist. In addition, Nepal’s jungles are famous for tigers, rhinos, elephant safaris, bird watching and an amazingly diverse bio-system. Ancient cities like Bhaktapur have buildings and temples that are hundreds of years old in a culture that has changed very little especially in the mountain villages. You can experience Nepal by visiting these sights and the villages that make up this ethnic diversity easily, with or without trekking. Trekkers will be able to get to more remote villages. Non-trekkers will visit a variety of ethnic villages closer in. If you are a trekker, when you unzip your tent early in the morning, and there unexpectedly the tops of the world’s tallest mountain range peak out over the clouds, you will find yourself redefining beauty and majesty. The sight will leave you speechless and humble. The uniqueness of Nepal lies not just in its mountains but in the variety it offers including jungle stays, village stays, diverse scenery.
