About one hour inland from the beach areas, the cultural and art center of Bali with each village specializing in various art forms: painting (Ubud and Batuan), silver jewelry (Celuk), woodcarvings (Mas) are just a few examples. Fine restaurants, Balinese dance programs, monkey forests, hikes and river rafting, terraced rice fields, beautiful scenery, great shopping.
