Itinerary

DAY ONE

Huay Xai to Pakbeng

Depart from Huay Xai at 9:30 am to begin your cruise down the Mekong. En route stop at Ban Houy Palam, a Kamu village, to see how the local river tribes live. Buffet lunch will be served on board the river boat. Before sunset you will arrive at the Luang Say Lodge for your overnight stay. Dinner will be served on the terrace overlooking the Mekong River.

DAY TWO

Pakbeng to Luang Prabang

After breakfast, visit the morning market of Pakbeng village where locals and hill tribes come to buy and sell goods. The river boat departs around 8:30 am, headed to Luang Prabang. Stop at Ban Baw to see the production of traditional rice wine. Lunch on board the boat. Stop in Pak Ou at the mouth of the Nam Ou River to see the famous caves there, filled with thousands of Buddhas. Arrive in Luang Prabang before sunset.
