ITINERARY
Day One:
Arrive in Cape Town
Upon arrival, transfer to the La Splendida Hotel located near the V&A Waterfront.
Day Two
Cape Town and Table Mountain
In the morning, take a tour of Cape Town and learn about it's history before, during, and after Apartheid. Visit the District Six Museum, where you can learn about this diverse area and how it went against the ideas of Apartheid until it was destroyed. From there, visit the many sites of Colonial Cape Town as well as the colorful Bo Kaap neighborhood. In the afternoon, take a cable car up to Table Mountain where you can see spectacular views of the city (weather permitting) and learn about the amazing biodiversity of the Cape.
Day Three
Cape Point and Peninsula Tour
Travel around Table Mountain National Park and the Cape Peninsula, stopping in Hout Bay Harbour for a 30 minute seal watching cruise. From there, travel to the Cape Point Nature Reserve to visit the Cape of Good Hope, the southern most tip of Africa. From there, you can walk to the Cape Point Lighthouse for magnificent views of False Bay.

After stopping for lunch on your own, head to Simonstown to visit the Boulders Penguin Colony. Over 2,000 African Penguins live here, nestled against a quiet suburban neighborhood, though actions are being taken to protect their habitat.
Day Four
Explore Cape Town
Today is a free day to explore Cape Town. You can visit famous sites like Robben Island with it's former prison, the Cape Winelands, or the Cape Town Botanical Gardens.
Day Five
Fly to Kruger
Transfer to the airport and fly to Hoedspruit (flight not included). Upon arrival, transfer to the Motswari Game Lodge in the Timbavati Private Game Reserve. Settle into your bungalow and enjoy twice daily game drives and full board at the lodge.
Days Six-Eight
Timbavati Game Reserve
Early in the morning, take a game drive in an open air jeep to see some of the huge diversity of animal, plant, and birdlife in the reserve. You may even be able to see some of the famous white lions of the Timbavati, and the other members of the Big 5. Return to the lodge for brunch and a rest before enjoying an evening game drive. You may also enjoy guided safari walks and special hides on the game reserve. Dinner will be served back at the lodge.
Day Nine
Fly to Victoria Falls
Fly from Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. Upon arrival, transfer to the Ilala Lodge. In the evening, head to the Zambezi River for a two hour sunset game cruise. Enjoy drinks and snacks on the boat as you watch animals in the river and the stunning scenery - a unique and memorable way to see another side of nature.
Day Ten
Victoria Falls & Elephants
In the morning, head to Victoria Falls, also known as Mosi-oa-Tunya - "the Smoke That Thunders." One of the world's widest and largest waterfalls, it is an impressive sight whether you're there in the wet season or the dry season. Your guide will also show you around the surrounding rainforest where you can learn more about local wildlife.
In the afternoon head to the Wild Horizons Elephant Sanctuary and Orphanage for an up-close and personal encounter with African elephants. First you will be treated to a presentation on the Sanctuary in a Boma overlooking the Masuwe River. Then, head out into the bush to walk among these gentle mammals. Though these elephants are more accustomed to humans because of the need to care for them, they live as if they are still in the wild. Enjoy drinks and snacks before heading back to your hotel.
Day Eleven
Visit Chobe National Park
In the morning, drive to nearby Botswana to see Chobe National Park. The park is well known for the large herds of elephants that frequent the Chobe River on a daily basis, as well as being the border to the Kalahari desert. Begin your day in Chobe with a boat cruise along the river where you will see plenty of hippos, crocodiles, and of course elephants grazing and enjoying the water. After lunch at a local lodge, head out in a jeep for a game drive through the park where you can see some of the many other animals that call Chobe home. Return to Victoria Falls overnight.
