Day Ten

Victoria Falls & Elephants

In the morning, head to Victoria Falls, also known as Mosi-oa-Tunya - "the Smoke That Thunders." One of the world's widest and largest waterfalls, it is an impressive sight whether you're there in the wet season or the dry season. Your guide will also show you around the surrounding rainforest where you can learn more about local wildlife.

In the afternoon head to the Wild Horizons Elephant Sanctuary and Orphanage for an up-close and personal encounter with African elephants. First you will be treated to a presentation on the Sanctuary in a Boma overlooking the Masuwe River. Then, head out into the bush to walk among these gentle mammals. Though these elephants are more accustomed to humans because of the need to care for them, they live as if they are still in the wild. Enjoy drinks and snacks before heading back to your hotel.

Day Eleven

Visit Chobe National Park

In the morning, drive to nearby Botswana to see Chobe National Park. The park is well known for the large herds of elephants that frequent the Chobe River on a daily basis, as well as being the border to the Kalahari desert. Begin your day in Chobe with a boat cruise along the river where you will see plenty of hippos, crocodiles, and of course elephants grazing and enjoying the water. After lunch at a local lodge, head out in a jeep for a game drive through the park where you can see some of the many other animals that call Chobe home. Return to Victoria Falls overnight.
