Exploring Taiwan

Half Day & Full Day Tours

DAY 1


Arrive in Taipei and transfer by  private car to your hotel.

DAY 2


After breakfast, take a half day city tour of Taipei. Visit the impressive Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall and the National Palace Museum where thousands of years of Chinese art can be seen. Stop at Lungshan Temple and the famous Taipei 101 (not including observatory ticket).

DAY 3


After breakfast, drive to Sun Moon Lake in Central Taiwan. Stop at the famous Wenwu Pagoda, Ita Thao Indigenous VIllage, Xuanzhuang Temple, and Ci'en Pagoda.


Upon arrival at the Fleur de Chine Hotel, enjoy the natural hot springs at the hotel.

DAY 4


After breakfast, drive to Tainan, the oldest city in Taiwan, to visit Fort Zeelandia. There you can walk around Anping Old Street, known for local food specialities such as tofu pudding. 


Then head to Kaohsiung to see the Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Monastery, the most sacred Buddhist temple in Southern Taiwan. Here you will get a chance to speak to the monks and nuns who live here, and learn more about their way of life. Overnight at the Grand Hi-Lai Hotel.

DAY 5


After breakfast, take a tour of Kenting National Park, located at Taiwan's southern tip. Stop at Eluanbi Lighthouse, Cape Maobitou, Chuanfan Rock, and Longpan Park. Then drive to Chihpen and overnight at the Hotel Royal Chihpen where you can enjoy natural hot springs at the hotel.

DAY 6


After breakfast, take a tour of the East Coast National Scenic Area known as Taiwan's "last unspoiled land." Visit the dramatic stone cliffs of Xiaoyeliu, Sanxiantai Dragon's Bridge, and Shitiping Stone Steps. From there, take a scenic train from Hualien to Yilan. Overnight at the Wellsprings by Silks Jiaoxi.

DAY 7


After breakfast, start the day with a visit to the King Car Kavalan Whisky Distillery to learn about whisky distilling in Taiwan, using clear water sources from the Central Mountain Range and the Xueshan Mountain Range. Then visit the National Center for the Traditional Arts, a vast park with traditional Taiwanese architecture, exhibitions, and performances. Reutrn to Taipei and overnight at the hotel of your choice in Taipei.

DAY 8


After breakfast, spend the day at your leisure until it is time to head to the airport. Transfer by private car.
