DAY 1

Upon arrival in Hanoi, transfer to the La Siesta Premium Hotel.

DAY 2

​

Breakfast at the hotel. Morning visit to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, his former residence, the One Pillar Pagoda, and the Temple of Literature. In the late afternoon, head out on a street food tour of Hanoi and enjoy various delicacies and a meal at Bun Cha Obama, where President Obama ate with Anthony Bourdain. Finish up the evening with a stop at a local beer garden.

DAY 3

​

Breakfast at the hotel. Head to Ha Long Bay for an overnight cruise through the beautiful islets of Ha Long Bay. Enjoy lunch and dinner on board in between sightseeing stops, and sleep among the dramatic limestone peaks rising out of the sea.

DAY 4

Breakfast on board.  Enjoy a tranquil morning cruising through Ha Long Bay before transferring to Noi Bai Airport for your flight to Danang. Upon arrival, transfer to the Palm Garden Beach Resort.

DAY 5

Start the day by exploring Hoi An market with a local chef. Return to the restaurant by boat, and begin learning how to cook delicious Vietnamese favorites. Lunch at the restaurant. In the afternoon take a walking tour of Hoi An and visit ancient merchant' houses, a Hokkien temple, and the 400 year-old Japanese covered bridge.

DAY 6

After breakfast, head to a local fishing village on the mouth of the Thu Bon River. Learn about the daily life of Vietnamese fishermen before taking a boat cruise on the Cua Dai River.  From there, you can learn how to paddle a bamboo basket boat before enjoying a light lunch at a local restaurant.

DAY 7

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Saigon.

Upon arrival, transfer to the Liberty Saigon Centre Hotel.

DAY 8

​

After breakfast, head to Cai Be for a Mekong Delta Cruise. Float through the  tree-lined canals in a sampan before boarding your boat and enjoying lunch. Sail to Cai Thia and take a walking tour to see how locals live on the Mekong Delta. Bikes are available for those who wish to ride around the villages. Return to Saigon.

DAY 9

​

After breakfast, head to the Cu Chi Tunnels in the outskirts of Saigon where Vietnamese guerrilla forces built a labyrinth of narrow tunnels as hideouts during the war. Return to the city and take a half day city tour with visits to the former Presidential Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, Chinatown, and Thien Hau Temple.

DAY 10

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Siem Reap. Upon arrival, transfer to the Taka Angkor Hotel.

DAY 11

​

After breakfast, visit the Angkor Thom Temple, built in the 13th Century. From there head to Ta Prohm Temple, which is dramatically enveloped by the surrounding jungle and was featured in the movie Tomb Raider. Finally, visit the stunning Angkor Wat, known for its impressive architecture and bas reliefs.

DAY 12

​

After breakfast, head to the graceful Khmer Temple of Shiva, Bantey Srei. Here you can see rare sculpted female deities among the stone carvings. Take a boat ride on Tonle Sap. In the evening enjoy dinner with a traditional Apsara dance show, an art form that was almost lost during the Khmer Rouge regime.

DAY 13

​

Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
