Day One:

Arrive in Singapore

Upon arriving in Singapore, transfer to the Rendevous Hotel.

Day Two

Singapore

Breakfast at the hotel. Today is free to explore Singapore.

Day Three

Kuching

Fly to Kuching and transfer to the Riverside Majestic Hotel. The hotel is right in the heart of town, and you won't be able to miss it with one of the city's famous cat statues right across the street. Rest of the day is free to explore Kuching.

Day Four

The Orangs at Semonggoh

In the morning, visit the Semonggoh Wildlife Rehabilitation Center for your first chance to see our distant, red-headed cousins, the Orangutans. The Orangutans at the Center are free to roam, so there is no guarantee of how many you will see, but they do like to join in the fun when it's feeding time.

In the afternoon, take a tour of city including the famous Sarawak Museum.

Day Five

Sarawak Cultural Village

Visit the Sarawak Cultural Village to learn more about the many different Dayak tribes that live in Borneo. Enjoy a dance program at the village, then return to Kuching for an afternoon river cruise.

Day Six

Fly to Mulu

After breakfast, fly to Mulu. Check in to the Mulu Marriott Hotel before heading out on an introductory walk through Mulu National Park's headquarters. You'll learn more about the diverse nature of the park ahead of your next two days of adventures.

Day Seven

Mulu

Breakfast at the hotel. Start your day with walk through the Canopy Skywalk, then take a light hike to the Lang and Deer Caves. Then you will witness millions of bats leaving their cave homes at dusk to eat.

Day Eight

Penan Settlement

After breakfast, head to Penan Settlement by boat. This unique tribe were once nomadic hunters and gatherers before World War II. Today they still carry on many old traditions in their villages. Afterward, head to the Wind and Clearwater Caves. Enjoy a picnic lunch by a forest pool.

Day Nine

Fly to Sandakan

Breakfast at the hotel. Fly to Sandakan via Kota Kinabalu. Take a short city tour of Kota Kinabalu before your connecting flight, if the schedule allows. Arrive in Sandakan and transfer to the Sabah Hotel.

Day Ten

Sepilok and the Jungle

After breakfast, visit the Sepilok Orang Utan Sanctuary, where you can get up close and personal with these amazing apes. You'll have a chance to see the baby Orangutan nursery if it's open, then walk across to see the Borneo Sun Bear Conservation Center to see this small, endangered bears. From there, drive into the jungle and stop at the Gomantong Caves, famous for its harvesting of bird's nests for bird's nest soup. Continue on to the village of Bilit on the Kinabatangan River (2 hours). This part of Borneo offers an excellent chance to see Borneo's famous wildlife in its natural habitat. Arrive at the Bilit Adventure Lodge and take an afternoon riverboat trip along the river to spot wildlife. Lunch and dinner at the lodge.

Day Eleven

Orang Spotting

Breakfast at the lodge. In the morning, take an early morning bird watching cruise, then visit  Ox-Bow Lake for more animal spotting. After lunch, take part in restoring the forest by planting trees before a wildlife spotting cruise in the late afternoon. Dinner at the lodge.

Day Twelve

Return to Sandakan

Drive back to Sandakan, with a stop for lunch along the way, and visit to the Labuk Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, which is dedicated to the protection of proboscis monkeys, otters, lorises, birds, and other animals that call Sabah Province home. Afterward, take a tour of Sandakan city and visit the Sandakan War Memorial where the Japanese Army held Allied POWs prisoner and took on them on brutal death marches

Day Thirteen

Onwards

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport and fly home - or maybe to your next destination!

Kuala Lumpur

Breakfast at the hotel. Take a city tour of Kuala Lumpur before heading to the stunning Batu Caves.

Day Fifteen

Fly Home

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for your flight home.

Please be aware that this is an Active trip involving light hiking, getting in and out of boats, and climbing stairs.
